About Alexa Decker (She/Her)

Hello, I am Alexa Jade Decker. I loved the birth I got to experience with my son. I don't think that experience would have been the same if I didn't have a doula. I want to help other birthing people experience positive, empowering births that they feel in control and proud of.

I have a degree in elementary education. I am a mother to a wonderful four year old and a little girl that is one and I have experience with breastfeeding and challenges that often come with it. I grew up dancing and that will forever be a part of me. Kitsap county is where I was born and grew up. I love how small the community can be and that I  have a job where I get to know and help the community members. 

When I am not working my family loves to go on adventures. We love to do the hike to the Dickerson Creek waterfall in Bremerton, go to the Point Defiance zoo in Tacoma, wonder around the Poulsbo waterfront or go to the many parks we have locally. We also love to go camping and explore the world. My kids are in their element when they are digging in the mud.

I support all types of births including home, birth center and hospital, medicated and unmedicated. I want to support you where you are in the childbirth experience. A doulas roll changes slightly depending on what your birth experience is and I am prepared to adapt to your needs. I trained as a doula through DONA

I also teach childbirth classes that I tailor to the needs of my students. No matter where or how you plan to welcome your baby onto the world my classes can fit your needs. I trained as a childbirth educator through BADT

I recently added birth photography to my services. I find the birth experience to be beautiful and I found myself sad that i didn't have many photos of the birth of my son. I am excited to have a new skill to try and perfect and provide photos for a lasting memory and new perspective on a important moment in your life.
