What is a Doula?

What I do as a Doula

What I do as a Birth Doula

A birth doula is a great person to have on anyone's birth team whether it is your first birth or sixth birth, whether you are planning a home birth, birth center birth or hospital birth and whether you are planning a medicated birth or unmedicated and even a planned C-section.  As a birth doula I am there to listen, provide comfort strategies, act as another set of hands, provide labor and birthing position suggestions, be your advocate (without talking for you), and so much more! Ultimately I am just there for your needs.

What I do as a Postpartum Doula


 As a postpartum doula I am there when you are healing and adjusting to your new life. I do a variety of things from talking about your birth experiences, providing resources, doing light house hold chores, prepping/cooking food, playing with other children in the house, taking care of the baby while you take care of yourself, running small errands and more.
